She escaped the Khmer Rouges genocide at a very young age to the United States in 1980 with her paternal aunt, Chiv Heak Heng, and settled in Virginia, building a life of resilience and dedication starting with just clothes on their backs. Taylor holds an undergraduate degree in Public Administration and a master’s in Human Resources Management. A single mother of two daughters, she has a balanced family life with a 20-year career as a realtor and a decade in property management.A passionate advocate for staying active, she makes fitness a daily priority. Her life experiences have shaped her desire to give back, particularly in causes that resonate deeply with her personal journey. She is especially interested in supporting foundations like Coral Tree Education, with hopes of making a meaningful difference in the lives of children, especially those who are desperately living in extreme poverty in small villages in Cambodia.
